The organs of the British female tourist, who died of brain death as a result of a heart attack in Muğla’s Marmaris district, gave hope to 3 people.
40-year-old Englishman Kelly Barbara Devlin, who had a heart attack 10 days ago at the hotel where she stayed in Marmaris, was taken to a private hospital in the district.
Despite intervention at the hospital, Devlin was brain dead.
Hospital officials received approval for organ donation during their meeting with the patient’s relatives. Thereupon, Devlin’s two kidneys and liver were taken by special teams to be transplanted to 3 patients awaiting organs.
